I really can't see FMP as a big romance anime... My votes went to Koi Kaze (best romance/drama EVER). Ef - a tale of memories which is a very nice tale of love too. And Byousoku 5 cm, you'll understand it if you watch it. Love is nice, but it doesn't always work the way you want. It even more often doesn't than it does. That's why I love these animes so much. They aren't really focussed to happy endings to cater lots of people. They're realistic in the pain you can get from love.

I think Ranma should be on there, because even though it's mostly martial arts, there is sort of a romance going on between Ranma and Akane, even though neither like to admit it.

That's how it often is in animes of that genre. All girls fallen in love with same guy.
Anyways, it's not a shitty ending, though it could be better. But I guess you could call it a happy one. |

Yeah, i was just wondering the ending, it's ok if they fall in love with one guy, but the pain and suffering of 10 episodes of cheating and murder intents, i don't like it ^^
