Whoa the top 2 for sure would be Death Note & Code Geass! Those two anime were the most depressing as well as best thrilling.

The new ''Umineko no Naku Koro ni'' will rule this list....when it comes out.
It's said (from the manga readers) it contains the creepiness of Higurashi, and the violence/blood/gore of Elfen Lied.
