Why isn't there a sub-forum for dragonball z?
Its a great anime.

No offense, but if you honestly think anything past Freezah saga is great, you need to review your tastes on anime... At least this is my opinion.

Personally I don't like it. It's not quite as bad as Narutard or Bleach, but it comes close. This, is the reason why I won't add it xP I prefer to keep the adding of stuff to what I actually enjoy watching and to what I think has a value when you watch it. Mindless fighting and screaming to get stronger over and over again for 200+ episodes doesn't fit into that category for me.

and 50 eps are used for the story... max

For an anime that sucks ass it is very well known. I bet that if you asked about most of the anime's to a random person they say "Huh wtf is that" while with DBZ everybody knows it (and most find it fun, but I guess if you place a DBZ topic on DBZ hater forum you don't get that ^^).

And probaly more games about it then all of the anime's that can be discussed on this forum together.

Anime's are senceless anyway. Just a cheap form of making movies cause Japan was poor.

But that does not mean it can not be fun.

good point.... but FMA has a story, claymore had a story (wich they didn't put an end to at the end of the anime)... a lot of anime's have stories

Dragonball Z has a good and complex story line.
But for some it is just to hard too understand it ^^

DBZ might be famous. But famousness does in no way equal quality. And personally this is what I look for in my anime. And all of it might be senseless, but such can be said about every form of entertainment out there.

Anyways, Ronin's points are very valid. While all forms of entertainment might be senseless, stuff like Dragonball Z, Naruto, Bleach and One Piece to name a few, have such little story and are so clearly made just to profit, I can't bear watching them. And I don't add stuff I don't think is worth to be added. Simple as that. Shonen anime isn't my stuff anyway. It's clearly aimed at a younger audience that doesn't give a flying f*** about the quality of the story. I used to like DBZ, true, but I was at the age where all the fighting was so cool, and I didn't care about the fact that it took them shitloads of episodes to actually tell something.

I compare stuff like DBZ and Narutard to The Power Rangers. It's some of the biggest junk known to mankind in entertainment, but it's still so popular just cause it looks cool to the kids.

This, is of course only my opinion, and I hereby rest my case.

EDIT: I just read your message? DBZ a good and complex storyline? Excuse me but you'll have to widen into what the hell that might be then. Complex, deep storylines for me is stuff like Ergo Proxy, Devilman Lady, Serial Experiments Lain, Koi Kaze, and I could go on for a while. All of these series have deep, complex and very good storylines, something I just cannot say about DBZ

As to it might be entertaining, I guess that can be true, however. My time to watch anime is limited as is, so I want to watch stuff out there that's worth my while xD

That's why I ignore stuff a la DBZ,narutard,Bleach,etc....

I am quite certain that there are people out there who sincerely believe that DBZ is indeed a complex series. And with all the bullshit I've seen people spout regarding anime like that, I wouldn't be surprised of it at all.
