Ok just a quick note for people like me. Recently my DS got wet from rainwater when i was cycling, when i got home i nearly killed myself when i found that the speakers weren't working. scared and cwying for my dear ds i dryed it off but nothing came of it.
But while looking at possible soloutions to take the cover off and replace them i took the ds cartridge out to look at a screw. The cartridge was wet so i dryed it off with a cotten bud along with the slot and as angels sang out my ds sang for me!!!
so basically water in slot one mucks up speaker usage buit for some reason headphones work fine.
Also, yes
i do write in a rather odd way. _________________

Damn.. water.. the natural enemy of all technical stuff....
If you already did all that.. i'm afraid you'll have to use headphones for the rest of your DS-life m8... _________________

aye, you should have waited a few days before powering up. It might have been able to dry out. _________________
