Shinji is the epitome of a good character for Otakus. they relate to them, but can still feel better than him, since he's such a whiny little pathetic thing...
Nice marketing stunt. I'm not a big fan of NGE, it's something you're supposed to watch cause it's part of anime history. But I personally really disliked it.

It was a great series until about episode 22, then 23 kinda sucked then 24 sucked some more, then 25 and 26 were complete failures. It brought us absolutely no closure, and took an anime full of action and ended it with little kids sitting in dark corners talking to themselves. Pathetic.

skip 25 and 26 and watch the move END OF EVANGELION (its on first post in divx)
they made a decent ending there

Decent. That's about all that can be said about End of Evangelion. I really didn't like this series, but then again, it really ain't my style so I won't go on an endless rant here.

the conclusion I came to was that AT Fields were generated by people's hearts and they allowed people to be individuals, but the seele organization wanted to break down the AT Fields so all people could unify into one entity, the primordial soup. However, the Angel's asked Shinji if that's what he truly wanted, and he said no, so they rematerialized him and Asaka Langley...basically the new Adam and Eve...they are the only 2 people alive and they'll start the world over or something to that effect.
However, Why the hell does he wake up choking her? Don't understand that...And then he says at the end kimochi warui which means bad feeling. w/e they could've explained this better so easily.
